My first Steampunk gadget using old cogs, key (obviously), air compressor gauge and air conditioning parts and stuck together with epoxy glue.
very cool, if darkadventures passes on it please let me know as I would also be interested in potentially buying it.
Hi. Unfortunately, it got broken somehow within the studio and I haven't got round to studying to see if it's repairable. Ideally, it does need to be fixed with something more secure then epoxy glue.
Steampunk, where every goddamn item is a swiss army knife.
acts like a Sheldon Cooper
Guess you goddamned liked it then?
This would look so cool in Cyan's Riven, just the sort of key that Gehn would use, great work, love it...
Never heard of 'Cyan's Riven'; but I'm pleased you like it and can relate to it in that context. I probably will sell the key at some point, if can find where I put the damn thing!
Does the key turn? It looks as if holding that wooden handle with one hand and turning the bow on the back with the other hand would make the key turn.. The gear assembly looks similar to that of a power drill. In any case, I like it.
No, there isn't any moving parts on it, it was purely made for my visit to Comic Con London. Pleased you like it though.
Very cool result!
A fine key it is, good to see steampunk jewelry that wasn't made using glue. Good work!
at first I thought that was a pretty cool mini-pistol! It's great looking no matter what it is!
That looks awesome! I should try this with my room key...
Ha ha you will need deep pockets to carry that around, as well as tightening your belt.
so like does the key actually open something or just a show piece
No, just a show piece - it's a part of my costume for Comic-Con London later this month.
ahhhh understood comic con in new York is like next week so I thought it might of been for that since people r all like omg new York comic con is coming yayayyaay
